Daylily Delight

This is the second painting in my series of "Botanicals In Glass". This day lily has been so cheerful and bloomed so well this year that I thought it should be rewarded by painting it. This is my second attempt with this day lily. The first start was just a total disaster from the beginning and while it was difficult to admit defeat and even more difficult to throw out a piece of Twinrocker paper, I am glad that I started over. The paper size is 6x8. I have two more pieces of paper this size and I am now looking for the next deserving subject.

Lighthouse on R-tis-tx and Please Welcome Sunny

This painting was done on a new surface called R-tis-tx. It is drawn in waterproof ink and then painted with watercolor. It can be sealed and framed without glass. The website for more information on the watercolor board is http://www.rtistx.com/ I learned about the new surface from a youtube video by Mary Ann Boysen but now I can't seem to find the link. I have a few more boards to experiment with and will post the results as I can. This painting is 5x7.

Botanical in Glass

This is a lovely azalea that has such unique color patterns. One bloom can be almost solid peachy color while the bloom next to it may be almost white with a few splotches of color. This is painted on Twinrocker HP paper 6x8. I might need to darken the center of the back bloom just a bit more.

Need Direction?

Here are a couple of 5x7s of a weathervane that is in the back yard. It has been there for many years now and has developed some rust but I still enjoy it.

Dog's Life Finished

I think that Dog's Life is finally finished. Does anyone see anything that I need to correct? She will be donated to ArtUnleashed to help raise money for homeless animals. The painting is 10x14 and will be matted to 16x20. Suggestions and/or comments appreciated.
