Pears in colored Pencil WIP IV

I cannot post the watercolor I am working on because it is for my SWAP painting so I will post the small amount of work that I have done on my colored pencil pears.  I worked on the silver base with Indigo PC901 and added a couple of layers in the interior of the colander - Indigo and Crimson Red PC924.  I have started some of the shadows on the outside of the colander with Indigo also.  You can click on the picture for a larger version.

Pictures from Haven Hospice Show

I am posting a few pictures of some of the paintings that I hung at Haven Hospice yesterday.  I take much better pictures outside in the sunshine but maybe you can get an idea.  You can click on the picture to see a larger one.  I am spending a bit of time to straighten up and organize my studio and then I can start on some new paintings.

Delores won the painting "Summer Escape" for September.  Congratulations Delores!  I am not sure what area Delores is from until I receive an email back from her but I wanted to post that a winner had been drawn.

I WON this Watercolor Batik!

I received the neatest gift in the mail today.  It is a watercolor batik by Deb Ward that I won in a drawing on her blog http://debwardart.blogspot.com/
I took a picture so that I can show you and I will frame it after I finish with my show this coming Friday.  Deb thank you so much.  I am so happy to have a batik that I can study and learn from.  The colors are wonderful and I am very proud of it.

Here is another fun picture.  Babe Girl loves to hang out in my studio when I am working.  I was busy framing today and she decided to take a nap surrounded by art.

Have a great Labor Day!

I will not have time to paint for the next couple of weeks.  I am getting ready for my show at the Haven Hospice in Gainesville on Sept. 18.  I will be hanging 38-40 paintings.  My time right now is taken up with inventory, framing, making labels ......  I still grab a few moments to take some pictures for possible future work and so I will share a picture with you and wish you a very pleasant Labor Day.  Click on the picture to see a larger one.  I really like the colors in the shadow.
