Let me introduce you to Eve

I got to meet one of my email/blogger friends on Monday.  Eve is a delightful and hard working artist who I met via email during my first Hospice show about a year and a half ago.  She works in oil and acrylics.  You can visit her blog here - http://artbyeve.blogspot.com/.  I really enjoyed getting to talk with her in person and she is very generous with all sorts of helpful information.  We had lunch and then I had the honor of visiting her home and studio.  A wonderful studio it is with plenty of light and room to work.  I also met Rambo and he welcomed me with a kiss. It was a very enjoyable day.  I have included some pictures of Eve, Rambo and myself.

Bleeding Heart Vine in Colored Pencil

Here is a little colored pencil sketch that was inspired from Leslie's Drawing A Day Blog.
You will have to scroll down to the end of September or first part of October to see the neat little recessed borders that she does.  Anyway I wanted to give one a try and this one is done on taupe mat board that is 5x7 total (including border). It was really fun to do and I would not mind doing a few more. Thanks Leslie for the inspiration!

The watercolor to the right is the painting that I sent to Jane in Pennsylvania for my SWAP group. This is "Sunny" my betta fish that keeps me company in the studio as I paint.   Each quarter we paint a 5x7 or 7x9 watercolor and Rhonda   http://rhcarpenter.blogspot.com/ draws names and we send them off while we wait for our suprise to arrive in the mail.  Thanks Rhonda for all of your hard work.
