Spring Discoveries

I believe this is a female belted kingfisher.  While the range maps say that they are in the area year round, I have not seen one in my backyard before today!  I only have a point and shoot but it has a pretty good zoom and I was able to get a good enough picture to identify it. 

Also another picture of spring blooms.  The tulip magnolia is now blooming.  It went from tiny little buds to open blooms in about 3 days.  Amazing!

Signs of Spring II

I am really working on a painting. Actually, I am working on several paintings but I have nothing to show you yet.  Finally there are some signs of spring in my own backyard.  The peach tree is blooming! The weather is warm.  The days are getting longer.  I am very happy.

Spring Is On The Way

My spirit could wait no longer, so I went to WalMart and purchased a bit of Spring!
