Thanks Judith & Joan. I will know better tonight if she wants to wear her sweater or not (she communicates very well). She does not like new things or changes in routine but once she is used to something she is very protective of it. For some reason she is terrified of tennis balls and I have never convinced her that "playing ball" is fun. She turns into 86 pounds of wimp and gets hiccups when you bring out the tennis balls.
Thanks Christiane. During the night she decided she liked her sweater and when I tried to take it off this morning she threw such a fit that I had to get DH to come help me.
The seashell is gorgeous and Babe Girl is even more gorgeous! A couple of the furry children around here got winter coats from my sister yesterday. So far, so good. Rosie likes hers. We don't know about Briscoe yet:)
Your careful attention to taking things slowly is definitely showing in this seashell painting. It is gorgeous, already!
That's too funny about Babe Girl's new sweater and the tennis balls! Most dogs go nuts when they see a tennis ball, but not because they are afraid of it...they want you to throw it for them.
This is looking so beautifully soft and delicate :) Love how careful you go to get the final look - wish I had a tenth of your patience. Babe Girl looks pretty snazzy in her sweater, too = a future painting?
I typed a reply but it has disappeared so I will try again (then it will probably show back up - lol). Thanks Candy (hope Briscoe likes his sweater by now), Susan, Krista & Rhonda. Here is hoping that I don't overwork the shell. I have so many cute pictures of my dogs that I should try to paint a few. My furry friends bring a lot of joy. Stay warm and thanks for the comments.

Sea Shell is gorgeous! So is Babe's sweater, but I'm not sure she looks too thrilled about it!!
Coming along beautifully - love the soft pink colours. Babe Girl doesn't seem too keen on wearing the jumper but I bet it keeps her warm.

This seashell has a wonderful transparency! Wow! Beautiful.
I certainly had the same reaction as Joan and Judith when I saw Babe Girl's look. She seems totally humiliated to have to "dress" this way:-)
