WIP VI - Seashell

I am trying to finish this one up by the end of the year.  I am hoping that the reflection goes a little faster but at least I have made some progress.

A very special Merry Christmas wish to all of you!

This is wonderful! And I love that there is someone who paints slower than me! All good things for you in the New Year!

AND, it's looking better n better! This has a reflection and a shadow? Wow, you know how to make everything interesting. That's why you always come up with super masterpieces!
And, you have a happy, joyful, & blessed Christmas!

Thank you so much Christiane, Deb & Ruth. LOL- I wonder if there are any slow painting awards out there. Ruth this reference photo has both a reflection and shadow, I guess it is one of the reasons that I could not resist painting it. Masterpieces...hummmm....thanks for the giggle.

"Masterpieces" not said lightly, really, I think you produce just that!
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on "On Top of the World". You mentioned you have trouble finding a scene that inspires. Vicki, it takes me a lot of "traveling" to find just the "RIGHT" one. I usually spend one whole evening (& maybe a few more hours a few days later). Don't mind in long run this time because I'm getting to see details in these places that I'd never thought of trying to do before. Using the confining limits of the Google mechanics can be very frustrating, however, but once in awhile it pays off and one happily discovers such as this scene. Thanks for your always appreciated (and needed)comment.

You are so kind Ruth. I will give virtual traveling another try this coming year. Thanks for the suggestons and encouragement. Love your work.

Hello Vicki, Merry Christmas to you, too! Your shell is coming along nicely; I especially love the pinks and lavendars in the conch. I'm wondering what the size of this is.
Best wishes,
Linda

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on the conch Linda! This is a 18x24 inch which is very large for me but it is good to stretch oneself every now and then.
