Finally something to post. Here in North Florida we have been dealing with the effects of rain, rain and more rain due to Faye. Our family is very blessed, we have just been inconvenienced but no one has been harmed and no major damage. This little painting is only a 4x6 inch and each layer has taken forever to dry but I think I am finally finished. I just wanted to paint something that was comfortable and cheerful. Hope you like it.

Sometimes you can brighten up your mood just be painting something bright and light, huh? I'm glad that Faye did not blow you away and that you are not under water. This lily is just great.

Wonderful lily. These proliferate at my house in Colorado in the spring. Have friends in Jacksonville and St. Augustine from whom I've not heard. So glad that you have been out of harms way.

Thanks Susan. Sometimes we have to paint our rays of sunshine - lol. And thanks Judith. My grandmother called these ditch lilies because they were so tough and grew anywhere. They always make me smile when I see them. I do hope your friends are just fine. I know that Jacksonville received stronger winds and rains than we did,not sure about St. Augustine.
Thanks again, Vicki
