Watercolor - Barn Landscape

This one has been a slow one to paint but I think it is finally finished. It is 1/2 sheet watercolor. If anyone has any suggestions for improvement I would be happy to hear them.

Very scenic and peaceful. The composition is just unusual enough to make it a special painting. One thing to maybe adjust - the length of the hay and the length of the trees next to the hay seem to be the same length. Enjoyed the painting.

Thank you Sandy! I appreciate your keen eye and the trees will be an easy fix.

Found you via Rhonda - and so glad I did as I love your muted colours and simplicity of composition. As Sandy says ' very peaceful. Glad I also ran down through your earlier posts to find the cherries and bowl as at my next workshop we shall be working with water colour pencils and its given me great ideas for the subject matter. Such glorious contrast of colour though we wont find any cherries here in England at this time of the year.

Thank you Joan for taking the time to stop by and comment. Glad you liked the cherries too.

The serenity of this one comes through easily! When my life gets crazy busy I tend to paint scenes like this since maybe the serenity is what I am seeking? Anyway, you achieved that look and it does calm me down. I love the composition with this and how all the colors are so integrated, they all just work!
