Dog's Life Finished

I think that Dog's Life is finally finished. Does anyone see anything that I need to correct? She will be donated to ArtUnleashed to help raise money for homeless animals. The painting is 10x14 and will be matted to 16x20. Suggestions and/or comments appreciated.

It's wonderful!!!! I love the way the complimentary red collar stands out against the green grass and draws the eye in - it's the perfect focal point. This painting is SURE to bring a large donation for ArtUnleashed!!

Thank you. I do hope so.

It's beautiful - the fur is unbelievable, and the time it must have taken to get that and the cords of the hammock painted - wow, you really have patience!
Good luck with the auction.

Hi ... This is a wonderful piece. Normally I don't jump in, but as a subscriber, I have watched the progress here and really enjoyed your progress. I mean, anyone who would take on a hammock ...

If it were me, I'd have built up the pup's fur more, but I remember you saying you weren't a fur person, and I do that a lot. I wouldn't touch it if I were you.

And, I would really like to know how you simulated the grass the way you did. That is very well done! Good luck o the auction for homeless animals.

Thanks Deb! My family always called it stubbornness but patience sounds much nicer - lol.

Thanks so much Judith! I really appreciate your comments. I am very new to painting animals so my skill with fur will have to grow as I paint more. I actually dreamed last night about a hammock but I was the one laying in it - lol. If you look at the April 12 post in the comments I explain about the "grass" which is good for a laugh.
