Lighthouse on R-tis-tx and Please Welcome Sunny

This painting was done on a new surface called R-tis-tx. It is drawn in waterproof ink and then painted with watercolor. It can be sealed and framed without glass. The website for more information on the watercolor board is http://www.rtistx.com/ I learned about the new surface from a youtube video by Mary Ann Boysen but now I can't seem to find the link. I have a few more boards to experiment with and will post the results as I can. This painting is 5x7.

Love your lighthouse painting. Never heard of this material but it seems very similar to All Media Artboard from Cheap Joe's - which is fun to work on and can also be spray sealed and hung without glass.
Hello to Sunny :)

ROFL You've got to paint this...love him challenging the camera LOLOL He's really pretty, and his little black eyes are so cute! My mom and I tried to raise these eons ago. The females were SO vicious we gave up.

Bautiful lighthouse, love it in every part, the foliage is stunning and the walls are perfect it not to mention the sky. Will you give it away??? ;P

ok, I'm joking!

It's the first time I see a fish like Sunny, he has the face of a seal!
Wellcome Sunny, I hope to see you painted soon.

Thanks Rhonda, Micah & Loredana. Rhonda I have never tried the all media board but I do find this easier to paint on in my style than clayboad or watercolor canvas. Loredana you never know what will show up in my giveaways - lol. Sunny is a betta fish and they are very easy to care for as far as fish go. Micah I have only seen pictures of the females but this little fellow loves attention but doesn't care to have his picture taken.
Thanks again for the comments.

Definitely paint Sunny! I thought betas had to be kept separately because they fight each other? Not this kind? I hope not - or that he is on his own. He is very cute.

Thanks Rhonda. Sunny is a typical betta and is all alone in his vase. He is very alert and watches me when I am in the studio. He should be fun to paint.

Vicki...That lighthouse is just stunning! The clarity of your colors is just amazing and your values so well-placed. Just love this one.

Thank you Susan. The clarity of the colors is one of the benefits of the rtistx surface.
