I will not have time to paint for the next couple of weeks. I am getting ready for my show at the Haven Hospice in Gainesville on Sept. 18. I will be hanging 38-40 paintings. My time right now is taken up with inventory, framing, making labels ...... I still grab a few moments to take some pictures for possible future work and so I will share a picture with you and wish you a very pleasant Labor Day. Click on the picture to see a larger one. I really like the colors in the shadow.

Your realism is fantastic!!!
Beautiful still life, will this be a painting?
Good luck with your show! Hope you took some time for yourself today. I don't think I have ever had 38/40paintings at one time ... ever.
Your still life photo is super. You are very good at setting up a good still life.

Thanks Jocelyn, shicat & Judith. I appreciate you guys taking the time to comment. Jocelyn this is just a photo. My paintings are not quite so realistic (but I try - lol). Shicat I hope to paint at least one of the photos I saved. I took about 40 of this setup and ended up saving about 5 of them so hopefully one will become a painting. Judith I have been really trying recently to improve my still life setups so I really appreciate you comment. Most of my paintings are 5x7.
Hi Vicki! How clever of you to arrange your set-up so the edge of the wonderful shadow slightly overlaps that shell on the left! This integrates the set-up for a better painting when you do it. How cool is that?
Good luck on your show display, I am sure you will have a good one.
Good luck with your show - 38-40 paintings, even if they are all 5 x 7 is quite a feat!! I know you will wow them and have plenty of sales and good comments all around. Do let us know how it turns out and perhaps photos of opening night? BTW, love this set-up and you're right about the shadow!!
Thanks so much Susan and Ronda. I will be posting some pictures once I get my paintings hung. Susan thanks for pointing out how I was lucky enough to get the shadow placed like that -lol.
Sounds like a very big event for you - you must hve been working your socks off to accumulate this number of works to hang. Good luck. Can't wait to hear how successful you have been plus some photos please.
Good luck with the show! Will you post pictures?
