I WON this Watercolor Batik!

I received the neatest gift in the mail today.  It is a watercolor batik by Deb Ward that I won in a drawing on her blog http://debwardart.blogspot.com/
I took a picture so that I can show you and I will frame it after I finish with my show this coming Friday.  Deb thank you so much.  I am so happy to have a batik that I can study and learn from.  The colors are wonderful and I am very proud of it.

Here is another fun picture.  Babe Girl loves to hang out in my studio when I am working.  I was busy framing today and she decided to take a nap surrounded by art.

What a great prize, Vicki! Your show pieces look like they are coming along under the watchful eye (well, not so watchful since she seems to be sleeping!) of Babe Girl :) Good luck on the show!

Thanks Rhonda and Deb. Babe Girl is so careful in the studio not to bump into anything. Deb how could I fail to mention you after receiving such a great painting?

What a lovely watercolor. Lucky, lucky girl!

Have fun with your show. It looks like you have a lot of work ready. Babe Girl is too sweet!

Babe Girl may have taken a nap surrounded by art, BUT more importantly, I bet she's there because she wants to be close to the one she loves. How lucky you are to have this devotion, right? and, to have one so thoughtful and careful around those fragile and important items.
Good luck with your show. I know how much work there is involved. I had over a hundred in my first show here in NH a year ago and it was an exhausting as well as at the same time exhilarating time. Be sure to let us know how it turns out. Ruth

Thank Candy and Ruth. Yes I am so pleased with my new watercolor gift and Babe Girl is my special lady. She is a rescue and by far the most intelligent dog I have ever owned. Ruth, oh my, a hundred paintings! You are right I am exhausted with doing these 40 and am looking forward to doing a couple of paintings just for fun.

The batik is gorgeous! Not surprising since it is from Deb Ward:-)
40 paintings! Wow! I was exhausted getting a dozen ready for a show in June.
Best of luck...your artwork looks splendid.
