Pears in Colored Pencil WIP V

I am really pleased to be able to post progress on my colored pencil pears.  The last progress post on these was Sept. 28 so it has been a while.  I think I am about through with the leaves and background but have many layers to go elsewhere.  Thanks for looking.  Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks Rhonda and Krista. I hope the next update doesn't take quite so long.

You have the patience of a saint (one who can paint in colored pencil, by far the hardest medium to master, in my personal opinion!). Don't make us wait so long for the next post!

Deb, you made me laugh - thank you.

Hi Vicki, I am delighted to have discovered your blog. I am always happy to find someone who works with cps. (Yes I did notice the watercolours as well!)

I look forward to see this one progress - the shadows under the pears will be quite dramatic - and congrats on having such a nice colander! I find I am often still-life challenged when it comes to finding the right sized crystal bowl etc. :-)

I have had a fun time looking around, browsing through old posts and such. Your work is lovely! Finally, your favourite verse is mine as well. I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Thank you Teresa. I really appreciate you taking the time to look around and comment. I so enjoy that little colander and have pictures with onions, peppers, pears, etc.
Thanks r garriott. I really appreciate your comments.

Really coming on Vicki - you have such patience... but its being well rewarded with a delightful piece. Love the subtle cast shadows and light spots.

Thanks Joan!

This is so good already that I can hardly wait to see the final with the added layers. If you look up "patience" in the dictionary, your picture must be there!

Lol Susan, thanks. It really is just stubbornness that is starting to mellow out as I age "gracefully".
