Second 2009 Christmas Card

This is my more traditional card. On this one I used a reference photo from WetCanvas and changed the rocks in the background to sky.  The painting is 5x7in.

I love your Christmas card! It must feel great to have created this all by yourself!

Both are so unique and beautiful.

This is gorgeous! Love the sky especially with all the randomness of the stars!

These are wonderful Vicki. I agree with Laure, the randomness of the stars is very natural. And I love your candy canes and sea shells.

Wet Canvas is a great resource isn't it!

I've been bad about keeping in touch; and I'm not even as busy, or as productive, as you are! Keep up the good work.

Now that I have these completed I actually get to mark something off of my to do list! Good to hear from you Judith. I just checked your blog yesterday to see if you had an update.

Wonderful images for your two Christmas cards and the washes are a delight on the camels and background. The twinkling stars are an inspiration.

Vicki, I know what you mean about Christmas in Florida, I've had about 40 of them here, You never know whether to send palm trees with lights or a more traditional card . so two just fits the bill. Love them both ... so nice of you to leave a comment on my "Place" . just taking a little time to sort out my 'other life' (you know the one that gets in the way of our painting)..but I will still be checking on my blogging friends. BJ

Thanks to you Vicki , I went onto Wet Canvas and lots of inspiration there when I'm ready.

Well I am glad that you wandered over there to take a look. Even when you are not painting it is very interesting to see all of the paintings, WIPs and information.
