I wanted to let my blogger friend know that "Day's Work" won an award (5th place) at the Art League of North Florida (ALNF) 5th Annual Member's Exhibit.
A special thanks to all of those that encouraged me to enter this one in a show.
Of course you have a fan club, I am a charter member! I so enjoyed hearing about your winning fifth, but like the others feel it should have been much higher than that!
Jane should be very proud of her photo, it has spawned so many wonderful paintings.
Vicki,I have just awarded you the Sunshine Award because I admire your art so much. Please come to my site when you can to see the list of the other recipients.
I don't want to add to your busy schedule so feel free to pass the award to others as informally as you see fit. A sunny thought even should count:-)
Thank you so much Susan. I too, really appreciate Jane sharing her photo. Thanks Leslie! Thanks Christiane for the award. I'm on my way over to check it out!
Wow! Congratulations Vicki! This is a stunning piece! I appreciate your letting viewers see it close up in your previous thread. It really is fun to see the textural qualities of this gorgeous composition! I've never worked with rice paper and batik-style application...sounds fascinating!

I'm so happy and excited for you and agree with Rhonda - it deserved higher than 5th. But recognition is always good. Big giant hug for this one!!!
