Photos From Home

I do wish that I could include the wonderful rich lemony fragrance of this southern magnolia along with the photo.  The first five years after it was planted it refused to do anything but finally the last couple of years it is starting to grow and bloom and it is delightful.  On the other hand, the lotus has more than tripled its territory in one year and will probably cover the entire pond by next year but the blooms are so beautiful and I only planted just a couple of seeds (really, just a couple).

Vicki, how fortunate you are to be able to grow these beautiful flowers. I can just imagine the stunning painting that you can paint of that magnolia.

Lovely photos. I can't imagine have a tree with this smell in my yard. Guess I should say I can only imagine. How beautiful they are. Thanks for sharing. Love your doggie cards. They are true treasures. Are you selling them online? Vicki, thanks for visiting my blog and for your comments. Inspiring to me. Ruth

Oh! Breathtaking! Both of them. Are you going to paint them? I would find it hard-- no, impossible-- to resist.

Excellent! I hope you will be painting them.

Thank you all so much. I do hope to paint them. Of course for every photo you see there are probably 50 or more similar ones because I am always thinking painting. Ruth I don't have any cards for sell online right now but hopefully in the near future I will. I am ordering some paper samples to see what I like best.

Thanks Gary. I would really like to paint both of them - so many photos, so little time - lol.

Nice to meet you - found you on What is Krista Painting! I have about a zillion photos from our garden and hope to paint everything eventually, but we only have one life (as far as we know:-) You can visit me
on http://karenmartinarts.blogspot.com - I'm up on north Vancouver Island - nothing like Florida!
