Fox WIP - Moving Forward

I am moving along slowly but making progress.   Here is the latest on "Conte du Renard".   The photo reference is from dominiqs flickr photos under the Creative Commons Attribution License and a special thanks to him for a great photo. I guess it has become a mixed media painting since I have resorted to using a bit of gouache.  Thanks to everyone for following along.

Monsieur Renard is indeed looking very good. Great shadows around the ears! His eyes are beautifully innocent and don't show any of the slyness attributed in literature to the fox:-)

Fabulous nose, beautiful eyes and love the detail in the ear!!! Seeing as it is mixed media now, I suggest some coloured pencil layers when you get to the end, just to finish it off nicely and all! :-)
