Fox WIP

It has been quite a while since I have posted a new painting so I thought I would share what I am working on at the moment.  This little fox had such a wonderful expression that just had to paint him.  This is a 5x5 inch watercolor and I have many more hours to go before he is finished but this is a start.

Although your fox looks great they are not thought of well in England at present as they are roaming into suburbs to forage for food and have recently entered a house and badly mawled two little girls in bed. Very sad, the papers say they will be scarred (on the face) for life. But yours looks gorgeous and wood never do that. he eyes are so watery and real.

Your SWAP club sounds fun and lucky you getting a Rhonda piece of artwork.

Thanks so much Jane, Candy, Christiane, Tracy, Rhonda, Joan & Micah. I really appreciate your comments. Joan what a horrible thing to have happened. We must remember that no matter how cute these animals look that they are wild animals and they don't follow the "rules". Those poor little girls.
Micah please try to stay cool. I have been watching news about the heat wave you your area.

Just ran across your blog- hoping I can see this WIP finished. Wish you had a "follow" button. I don't want to add to my emails so won't sign up for that. I'll try to stop back again. I'd like to see your work in cp's- I'm just starting to "play" with them also.

Thanks Judith for peeking in. I can always use your sharp eyes and fur skill.
Carol I am so glad you stopped by. I understand about the emails and I do have a "follow" button. It is on the left hand side. You probably just need to scroll down a bit more below the "subscribe" button.

you have a great start on this fellow, Vicki. The eye expression is right on and that is 90% of a good animale painting.

Vicki Greene said...

Thanks Gary. I have a lot more confidence when painting a flower. Animals are a much greater challenge.
