Additional work on the Snow Leopard

It has been quite a while since I worked on this painting but I did accomplish a small amount today.  The first picture shows the watercolor underlayers and in the second picture I have started some work with colored pencil on the nose, mouth, lower jaw and paw.  It is 5x5 inches.

Looking good Vicki but a lot to achieve using pencil. Must be quite a meditative and relaxing process.

My goodness Vicki..you have such patience to attempt this with colored pencil! I am loving the watercolor layer, with all the textures you achieved.

Thank you Joan, Susan and Barbra Joan. I feel so rusty right now.

Hi Vicki, would you please tell me why do you use water color at first? I want to know if it is a new technic or not?
thanks
