Here is the companion piece to "Not A Cloud In The Sky".  I am calling this one "On A Clear Day" and it is 10x20 inches.   Thanks to MG Shelton for the reference photo. So, where shall I go next in my Beach Daze?  Maybe a stormy beach or a sunset beach.  Grab a chair and come join me at the beach to watch the waves and relax.  Of course your comments are welcome!

Very nice, they make a wonderful set. I just have to say I am really loving your smaller square format paintings, nicely done

You just keep getting better and better! Love the beach chairs (I wanna be there!!!) I've always loved the beach just before the storm hits - that wind blowing the sand, the air charged, scudding clouds - - - a far cry from these beauties, but a possibility? And who can resist a sunset on the beach? So many possibilities for your series.

Vicki...since so much of the country has had such violent storms this year, if I were you I would just want to see more of these beauties...reminding us of better days! Of course, as Deb says, sunset beaches are great, too.

Great, great, great.

Thanks so much Krista. I am really enjoying the smaller square format series too!
Thanks Deb. I can see images dancing around in your head too! It is fun to create a series.
Thanks Susan. I think that is why I choose to not even paint clouds, I just wanted something bright and clear.
Thanks Kathryn and Sharon. I do appreciate the encouragement!

Vicki - your washes are superb - I never can get mine to be that clean and gorgeous. Just love your painting. Your art is always so outstanding.

Thank you Debbie for looking and commenting! Washes are really very easy if you have some time and patience. The sky in this painting has 8 to 10 layers. I first wet the sky area with a soft 3 inch brush and then added a very dilute blue and since the paper is good and wet (but not puddling) I can brush back and forth until the layer is smooth. Let this completely dry. Then repeat until you get the depth of color that you want. You can change colors between layers or do part of the layer with color and part with clear water (I did this for the sky to get it light on the bottom). Hope this isn't more than you wanted to know.

Vicki, these are great! Makes us all want to escape the intense heat and humidity and sit right there and watch the waves (and enjoy the ocean breeze). Well done! I know these will sell in an instant (if you put them up for sale, that is).
