Next Project - Sunflower

I have completed the drawing and it is ready to be transferred onto  my "watercolor paper canvas".  This one is a 10x10 inch but there is so much detail in the lace and petals that it is going to be a challenge.  It might be one to paint larger sometime in the future but at least I can work out most of the color choices and such on this one.
I have made a big pot of hamburger soup, have fresh cornbread just out of the oven, there is a fire in the fireplace and I am working on a new painting.  Life is good.  This cold, icy weather will end tomorrow and north Florida will be back in the 70s by the weekend - YES!

This is going to be exquisite, Vicki. As for the weather, that must have been a horrible shock to all of you in northern Florida.

Your going to have another winner on your hands with this one. Just love the one you just finished.

Thanks so much Kathryn. I am such a weather wimp. I am fine with the heat but once it drops below 50 degrees I am so cold.
Thanks Sandra!

Vicki, thank you for showing the preliminary drawing in this post. I have a tendency to shortcut this step in my rush to start painting. But: I know in my heart, it just can't happen, can it, unless you pay your dues with a careful drawing? Discipline!
Your work is beautiful.

Thanks Katherine. Doing the final drawing on transfer paper has saved me so many times. When I lose my drawing because I used masking or it isn't showing through a few layers of paint, my original drawing lines up perfectly with my painting and I can retouch with less time and effort.
