This is simply wonderful! Every detail of this painting is perfect: the shading on the leaves, the details on the butterfly, the delicacy of the lilacs. Congratulations! This is a winner!
Every time I have tried to paint a butterfly scene it looks like it is in neon compared to the rest of the painting and I have found that to be jarring. You managed to make the butterfly the center of interest but not look pasted into the wrong scene or be jarring in any way. I hope that makes sense! Everything about this painting is so right and so pleasing.
Susan, thank you so much! This one just seemed to work but now DH said that since I gave it away that I have to paint another one for him- lol. Thank you "asmalltowndad" for taking the time to visit and comment on my blog.
Vickie, On behave of Haven Hospice, thank you so much for the painting, it is beautiful! Our May Memorial on May 10th is very special because of the butterfly release. Your gift is a blessing that will make it possible for us to purchase the butterflies. Not only will somebody get to own this wonderful gift, the proceeds will touch many people who are going through the journey of loss. Again,
Thank You, Carolyn Long Volunteer Coordinator Haven Hospice
Carolyn thank you so much for taking the time to find and comment on my blog. I am honored to be a small part of the Memorial Service. May this painting help to bring peace to those participating in the service and to the new owner!
Vicki, A beautiful painting for a wonderful cause. I was involved with Hospice because of my Dads illness.. Without them I couldn't have survived that time of my life.. They are the most caring, kind, compassionate people. Thanks for sharing Vicki.

Absolutely Stunning, and I'm sure it will be cherished.
