This is Project 3 of my class with Susan Bourdet. The idea for this painting started years ago when I spotted a plant on sale at a local home improvement store. Lady Margaret Passion Vine came home with me and promptly covered my garden fence. The butterflies loved her and many photos were taken. The photos were beautiful but did not think that I had the ability to paint these amazing flowers. Susan said that I could paint this and so I did. This watercolor painting is 20x20 inches.

Congradulations, Vicki. You did it, and you did an excellent job!
Your paintings are always fine, but I think this is one of your best. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Kathryn & Dijitize. I appreciate your comments.
Wow! Fantastic job! This was obviously a difficult subject matter to render but you did it beautifully!!!!
This is an incredible painting, Vicki! I love the contrast of the red and green tones, along with the details in the shadows.
very good work!
I like the Shadows in the Flowers
Thanks Teresa, Eve and Stephanie. I am so glad that you like the painting.
Vicki, I also wanted to say about the Passion Vine. My neighbor has it climbing up the side of the house, it's a purple one and I've thought oh no I can never recreate that. YOu;ve done an amazing job on this.. I mean amazing!! ok for the captcha thing one more time. BJ
Thank you so much Barbra Joan and I think I have taken care of the captcha thing - I certainly am trying to get rid of it.
