Nosy Neighbor
8x8 inch Varnished Watercolor

I knew I had to paint this one when I first saw it.  The expression was wonderful.  The colors look a bit brighter IRL but this is our 3rd day of rain and I really miss the sunshine.  I will put this one in the DPW gallery today so that it will show up on the "What's New" page tomorrow.  Thanks to A. Jakubiak @ flicker for the reference photo. Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend!

March is Birthday Month!

Red is one year old this month.  He is not quite ready to give up his teddy, in fact I am not sure that he will ever be willing to give up his teddy.  He is full of energy and wants to play, play and play. Babe Girl is six years old and is very set in her ways.  She thinks her job is to guard her humans and works very hard to keep us in sight when we are outside. Red delights in aggravating Babe, but Babe is such a good girl and tolerates him amazingly well.  Both were rescued puppies that have enriched our lives. Photos were taken by Cindy Greene Miller.
 Happy Birthday guys!

Goodbye Sam

It is with great sadness that I write this post.  Sam our 9 year old bull dog went on a walkabout on New Years Eve and never returned.  He was a rescue dog and one of the best natured and sweetest dogs that we have ever owned.  He wasn't always real smart, in fact we joked that he had one brain cell and rarely ever used it but he was a sweetheart.
We miss him but especially Babe Girl is having a very difficult time.  He was already with us when we brought her home (another rescue) and she teethed on his ears and promptly henpecked him.  He always let her have her way and protected her and she is devastated.
Sam had a good life here with us and he so loved running free and swimming.  Bye Sam..........

Dog's Life WIP III & IV

This is moving along slowly but the bottom picture is where I am at today. There is still a lot of work to do with the fur and hammock. I need to have this finished by May 8 for the Art Unleashed program deadline so I must pace myself.
